Arjen Sparrius

Arjen Sparrius (1962) is partner of Sman Business Value. He is internationally registered as Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA). He is regularly appointed as court expert in the field of business valuation and economic damages assessment. In addition, Arjen is active in corporate finance transactions.
Arjen Sparrius is a cum laude graduated Master in Industrial Engineering from the Eindhoven Technical University. After a period as an officer with the Royal Dutch Navy, he was management consultant at Coopers & Lybrand (in Barcelona, Spain). For 10 years he held various management positions with ExxonMobil (finance, upstream, and downstream). He still is regularly involved in assignments in the energy business.
In 2005, Arjen Sparrius completed the Business Valuation education at the Rotterdam School of Management. In 2010 he followed the Forensic Economics and Legal Experts educations at the Leiden School of Law and Economics, after which he was included in the Dutch National Register of Legal Experts (LRGD).
He is a Registered Valuator with the Dutch Valuation Research Foundation for the benefit of Business and Enterprise, as well as member of the Dutch Institute for Registered Valuators. From 2006 through 2012, he was member of the board of this professional organisation. Arjen Sparrius is also a member of the European Association of Business Valuators and Analysts.
Arjen Sparrius joined the Sman Business Value partnership in 2013. Before, he worked over 10 years as founding partner of Business Value B.V., a firm specialised in the field of mergers and acquisitions.
He is shareholder in several enterprises. He is also active as a tutor in the Business Valuation educations at the Nyenrode Business University and the Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University Rotterdam.
