Peter Hoiting

Mr Peter Hoiting (1953) is Registered Accountant and Registered Valuator, and was a partner at Sman Business Value from 2005 to October 2021. After his retirement from the partnership, he will continue to work as an advisor for Sman Business Value.
He has many years’ experience in financial management positions, both on a permanent and ad-interim basis, as well as being a business consultant.
He performed those positions with various companies and industry sectors, among other things in retail trade, at wholesalers and publishers, with logistics enterprises, and with the (semi-) authorities. He was for instance managing director with the former Vendex KBB, financial manager of Audax, financial interim manager/CFO at “Verenigde Bloemenveilingen Aalsmeer” (United Flowers’ Auction Aalsmeer, the Netherlands), and recently as ad-interim financial managing director for ThiemeMeulenhoff (publishers). Among other things, in those positions he acquired broad experience with the purchase and sale of enterprises.
As university senior lecturer, Peter Hoiting was associated with the post-doctoral education for Registered Controller at the Amsterdam “Vrije Universiteit” (VU University Amsterdam), and he is involved in counselling student enterprises at the Amsterdam College.
Peter Hoiting is regularly appointed as court expert, among other things in buy-out procedures. Furthermore he acted – together with co-partner Guido Rooijackers – as consultant for twelve law firms in the procedure for the Enterprise Chamber regarding the indemnification of investors in SNS REAAL (bank).
This broad experience and the specialised education Business Valuation at the Rotterdam School of Management constitute the basis for his activities at Sman Business Value.
